WHAT DO COOKIES DO?

Without cookies, a website is like a goldfish that loses its memory every time you visit a new page. Once you visit a new page, it doesn’t remember who you are.

This can be both a good and a bad thing. Without any memory, a website can’t do a lot of things. It can’t let you log in, because it forgets who you are. Or, as in our case, it can’t let you calculate anything, because it forgets your data. And it can’t send you a calculation report, because it does not remember where to send it.

Cookies aren’t automatically good or bad, but it’s worth understanding what you can do about them.

Most websites, like ours, have policies that explain what the cookies used on the site actually do. Well over 90% of websites use cookies and the internet would be an empty place without them. If you still do not like cookies, you can block them from downloading and you can remove them from your system even after they have been downloaded.
